Book Care
1. Do not eat or drink while reading your books.
2. Keep books away from younger children and pets.
3. Make sure to keep books clean and dry. When taking them home, put the books in your backpack. Do not use a book as your umbrella. If a book gets wet, please stand the book up and fan out the pages, allowing them to dry. If a book gets wet and isn't dried properly, it may grow mold. Any amount of mold on a book means the book must be discarded and replaced by the patron.
4. Do not dog-ear the pages - use a bookmark to save your place!
5. Do not write in a book or make marks of any kind in a book.
6. Do not crack the spines by opening the book and laying it upside down or bending the book.
7. Return your books when they are due so others may check them out, too.
8. Turn pages carefully so you don't rip them. If a page is torn, please let me know so it can be repaired.
9.Please let me know if something happened to a book. I will try to fix it so that it can be placed back on the shelf. If that is not possible, I will let you know. Part of being responsible about our library books includes telling me if there is an issue.
