Dewey Decimal Classification System
The Dewey Decimal Classification System is the organizational system we use for our nonfiction books. People are often surprised to hear that the DDCS still works - after all, it was invented in 1876! Because Dewey based his system on numbers, it can be updated as new information, ideas, or products become available. Below is a quick guide to the 10 main Dewey Decimal categories and some of the information you would find there. Not all number categories are in use.
